Suede Living (“Suede Living”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is operated by Highland Commerce PTY LTD (ABN 97 695 098 116). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share your personal information when you visit suedeliving.com (the “Site”), make a purchase or otherwise communicate with us.

By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us directly

  • Contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number, billing address and shipping address
  • Order information, such as the products you buy, order history and payment confirmation
  • Account information, if you create an account, such as your login details and saved preferences
  • Communications, such as messages you send us by email or through our contact form, and any reviews or photos you submit

Payment information
Payments are processed by our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments and PayPal). We do not see or store your full card number. Our payment providers collect and process your payment details under their own privacy policies and in line with PCI-DSS security standards.

Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information about your device and how you use the Site, including your IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location, pages viewed, products viewed, referring website, and how you interact with the Site. We collect this using cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see section 5).

Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from service providers that help us run the Site, such as Shopify, payment processors, shipping carriers, fraud prevention services and advertising partners.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share your information only as needed to run our business, including with:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes data on our behalf
  • Payment providers, to process your payments securely
  • Suppliers, warehouses and shipping carriers, to fulfil and deliver your order
  • Marketing and advertising partners (such as Google and Meta), to measure and show ads, including on other websites
  • Analytics providers (such as Google Analytics), to understand how the Site is used
  • Professional advisers and authorities, where required by law, to protect our rights or to prevent fraud

Some of these disclosures, such as sharing data with advertising partners for targeted advertising, may count as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under certain US state privacy laws. See section 6 for how to opt out.

4. Marketing communications

If you sign up for our emails or texts, we’ll send you news, offers and product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, by replying STOP to a text message, or by contacting us. We’ll still send you transactional messages about your orders.

  • Receive a copy of your personal information in a portable format
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, targeted advertising and profiling
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights

To exercise any of these rights, email us at help@suedeliving.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may also use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.

7. Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, fulfil orders, comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Suede Living is operated from Australia, and our service providers may store and process your information in the United States, Australia, Canada and other countries. Where we transfer your information, we take reasonable steps to make sure it remains protected.

The Site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.
